challenge
Ten years of rapid product growth had left Maltego's flagship OSINT product with a dated UI, an under-defined brand, and design bandwidth stretched thin across freelancers and engineers.
solution
Reporting directly to the CEO, I built and led a 3-person design team to unify UI, brand, and design systems platform-wide – partnering with UX research and three technical teams to ship consistent, scalable design across every product.
Over five years, I'm shaping how a cyber investigation platform looks, feels, and functions for law enforcement, intelligence, and enterprise security teams worldwide.
I lead and mentor a team of three designers, partnering closely with UX research and three technical teams to keep design coherent across Maltego's full product suite. My work spans two fronts: refining the interface of a complex, data-dense investigation platform without sacrificing usability, and stewarding the Maltego brand – from product UI to marketing design – so the two speak with one voice.
Reporting directly to the CEO, I've had the room to treat design as a lever for the business, not just a support function – and to build a team and a system built to scale with it.
'Insightful' is what always characterises the work of Maltego. Behind it is a constant curiosity, the inquisitive and persistent questioning of everything and everyone until every pattern is precisely analysed and every hidden truth is uncovered.

'Connected' is the key motivational driver for Maltego. Uncovering connections, as well as connecting tools, data, and people.

'Direct' is how Maltego wants to be seen. No fluff, no blah – just results with impact. Professional to the core, while informal in style, the brand is always focused on doing the right thing: pragmatic, reliable and solution-oriented.
