inside ar
The leading augmented reality event for industry innovators and tech companies

challenge
Inside AR's existing branding felt conservative and generic – anchored by stock cityscapes that didn't reflect the forward-looking technology at the center of the event. The brand needed to feel innovative rather than traditional, work as one system across four cities, and speak credibly to a technical, global audience.
solution
I designed a modular brand system built on two core elements – a shared venue motif representing the AR community's gathering point, and an AR-lens motif showing a 3D object unique to each city (Munich's rolling hills, Tokyo's Tocho towers, San Francisco's Golden Gate, Beijing's modern skyline). Together they gave all four events one coherent identity with local specificity built in.

Inside AR was an emerging conference series bringing augmented reality innovation to major global cities – Munich, San Francisco, Tokyo, and Beijing.
I directed the end-to-end visual identity and spatial branding for a series of major events, ensuring flawless continuity across digital touchpoints and massive physical environments.

Engineered large-scale experiential signage, including a custom 5-meter diameter 3D cylindrical tension-fabric ring banner, managing precise technical specs (15.71m seamless vector layouts) for high-altitude installation.
Designed dynamic environmental assets and promotional posters that translated abstract brand guidelines into high-impact, physical event decor.
Created the main brand presentation system, developing master slide decks, animated interstitial transitions, and digital visual assets to maintain absolute brand alignment between speaker sessions.
